
Sophie Marantette is a theater artist based in Chicago.
Sophie is a proud graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts where they studied Acting and Musical Theater.
Sophie has also studied in London with the British American Drama Academy where they studied with professors from schools including RADA, Central School of Speech and Drama, and LAMDA.
Most recently they performed as a soloist at 54 Below with the organization Healing and Harmonies, raising money for the Trevor Project and Doctors without Boarders. They have also recently played Demeter in The Rally Cat Theater Company’s workshop of the new musical Under Gods.
By their many mentors Sophie has been compared to actors like Drew Barrymore (in Never Been Kissed and Ever After), Brittany Murphy (in Clueless and Girl Interrupted) and Toni Collette (in Emma and Muriel’s Wedding).
When they aren’t performing, Sophie can be found baking, making collages, or watching far too many 90s rom coms and Jane Austen adaptations!
